Richard Miller
Richard Miller has spent over fifty years integrating Western psychology and neuroscience with the nondual wisdom traditions of Yoga, Tantra, Advaita, Taoism and Buddhism. He holds credentials as a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and clinical psychologist, founded the iRest Institute, co-founded the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and developed a structured 10-step iRest protocol that has been studied and adopted by the US Army and Defense Department for conditions including PTSD.
Miller now serves mainly as a consultant to the iRest Institute while continuing to lead trainings and retreats; his 2026 in-person retreat schedule includes a six-day retreat in Edmonton, Canada, alongside online teacher trainings and guided meditation offerings through the iRest shop.
“It is my sole practice. I think of yoga nidra as 24/7, 365 days a year. — Richard Miller, Yoga International, "Richard Miller on Yoga Nidra as a Way of Life"”Richard Miller
