Tim Freke
Tim Freke has written and co-written numerous books spanning early scholarly work on Gnostic and pagan mystery traditions (several co-authored with Peter Gandy, including The Jesus Mysteries) to his later "deep awake" approach, which presents spiritual awakening as an ongoing paradoxical inquiry rather than a fixed attainment. He presents himself publicly as a "stand-up philosopher," combining humour with direct, experiential pointing.
He currently teaches through a "Transformative Events" retreat program, an online community, a podcast, and an audio-video "podbook" format. Confirmed 2026 in-person events include a retreat in Costa Rica and "The Soul to Soul Experience" in Glastonbury, UK.
