About the teacher

Peter Fenner

Peter Fenner was ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist monk under Lama Thubten Yeshe in 1978 and remained in robes for nine years before disrobing in 1987; his PhD examined the philosophical psychology of the Madhyamaka school of Mahayana Buddhism. From the mid-1980s he began adapting these teachings for mental-health professionals and a wider Western audience, co-organizing one of the first conferences on nondual spirituality and psychotherapy in 1998, and has since presented at institutions including Stanford Medical School and Columbia University.

Through his California-based nonprofit Timeless Wisdom, he currently runs the nine-month Radiant Mind course, the ten-month Natural Awakening teacher-training program, nondual coaching, and practice supervision for therapists, coaches and Zen teachers; no events with confirmed dates and a physical location were found on his program pages.

Meditation for me is the presencing of pure awareness. It's simply being in the place where there's nothing more that needs to be done. (from an interview by Ed and Deb Shapiro, featured on timelesswisdom.org)
