Shelly Tygielski
After nearly two decades in corporate America, Tygielski became a certified MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) teacher and a certified Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute instructor. In 2013 she started a free weekly meditation gathering on Hollywood Beach, Florida that grew from a dozen friends into "The Sand Tribe," with thousands of participants; she is the author of Sit Down to Rise Up and How We Ended Racism, and founded the mutual-aid network Pandemic of Love during Covid-19, for which she was named a CNN Hero.
She currently offers workshops, corporate trainings and speaking engagements, and leads fully funded, trauma-informed retreats for survivors of mass shootings and gun violence. No upcoming public event with a confirmed date and specific location beyond July 2026 could be verified; her schedule should be checked directly before planning to attend.
