About the teacher

Mukti

Mukti has been a student of her husband, non-duality teacher Adyashanti, since he began teaching in 1996, the same year the two co-founded Open Gate Sangha together in the San Francisco Bay Area; she became a teacher in his lineage in 2004 and succeeded him as Head Teacher of Open Gate Sangha upon his retirement in 2023. She later studied the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda for over twenty years and holds a master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, an acupuncture license, and a Hatha Yoga teaching certification.

She currently teaches talks, Q&A dialogues, silent retreat days, residential retreats, private meetings, and online broadcasts and courses through Open Gate Sangha.
