About the teacher

Michael Beckwith

Michael Beckwith founded Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles within the New Thought movement, a distinctly American metaphysical tradition tracing to Ernest Holmes' Religious Science, which Beckwith teaches in an explicitly universalist, non-denominational form centred on the recognition of a shared 'Divine Mind' underlying all experience.

Agape holds weekly services at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills (also livestreamed), and he leads a Mount Shasta Summer Retreat from 30 July to 2 August 2026, a Sacred Service Saturday in June, and hosts the Take Back Your Mind podcast.

The spiritual path is not about adding something to us that is missing. It is about removing the obstructions to what is already present.
