About the teacher
Krishna Das
Krishna Das (born Jeffrey Kagel) travelled to India in the early 1970s and became a devotee of Neem Karoli Baba, the same teacher who shaped Ram Dass, later channelling that devotional bhakti lineage into call-and-response kirtan chanting for Western audiences. His recordings helped popularise kirtan well beyond specifically Hindu or yogic communities.
His 'Home In The Heart' European tour runs through 2026 with dates across Switzerland, Ireland, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, including performances in Amsterdam on 9 and 10 July plus a workshop on 11 July 2026, alongside ongoing online satsangs.
