About the teacher

Ajeet

Ajeet describes her music as world music weaving inspiration from traditional Irish folk to mystical and meditative soundscapes. She works with an ensemble of musicians from Spain, Ireland and the United States, and the range is wide: sacred chant, slow airs, long quiet passages built to be sat inside rather than listened to from a distance.

Her albums run from Haseya in 2016 through Let It Breathe on Spirit Voyage Records in 2022 and then a burst of recent work — Viento, From the Water and Heartbeat in 2025, Soften in 2026 — alongside the single Dreaming.

She lives on the west coast of Ireland, in the country between Cork and Kerry, and that landscape is not decoration in her work. She hosts a retreat near her home each year, visiting the ancient sites, singing over the bay and joining the traditional sessions in the local pub, and she leads daily yoga and meditation alongside the music. A second retreat runs in Mexico.

Her concert schedule is mostly festivals: France, Canada, Slovenia, Montenegro and Spain in a single season.

It is my absolute joy to invite you to come to Ireland with me. I am hosting this retreat near to my home in an incredibly special place owned by friends.
