About the teacher

Jan Geurtz

Jan Geurtz became known in the Netherlands first as a former addict and author writing candidly about compulsion and freedom, before moving toward inquiry-based teaching more broadly associated with the Dutch non-duality scene. His retreats are explicitly framed around Dzogchen practice, giving his current work a more specific lineage flavour than many of his non-duality-scene peers.

He leads four-day Dzogchen retreats in Winterberg, Germany, through 2026 and into 2027, alongside summer courses at Château Valogne in France and a year-long course starting in October 2026.
