Michael Singer

Michael Singer built the Temple of the Universe, a meditation community in Alachua, Florida, around a teaching centred on 'the voice in the head,' the habitual inner commentary he argues stands between a person and direct experience, laid out most widely in his bestselling book The Untethered Soul. His teaching is explicitly non-sectarian while closely aligned with non-dual awareness practice.

He teaches a fixed weekly programme at the Temple, including a Sunday service and Talk Nights, all offered free of charge; he does not travel, so students come to Florida or listen online, and he continues to publish, most recently Wisdom Untethered.
