Dan Harris: 10% Happier

Mindfulness · Meditation Podcaster
American journalist, author, and podcaster who became a leading popularizer of secular, science-based meditation after a televised panic attack, best known for his book and podcast "10% Happier."
Dan Harris spent two decades at ABC News, anchoring Good Morning America and Nightline, until an on-air panic attack in 2004 led him to meditation. He is not a lineage-holder or classically trained teacher himself; rather, he became a mainstream translator of meditation for skeptics, chronicled in his bestseller 10% Happier (2014) and co-authored Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics (2017), and he regularly collaborates with established teachers such as Sharon Salzberg and Jeff Warren.
His current activity centers on the 10% Happier podcast and meditation app, which features frequent live online meditation sessions and Q&As, often alongside guest teachers. He also leads occasional in-person retreats, including a multi-day "Meditation Party" workshop at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY.
“Nonattachment to results + self compassion = a supple relentlessness that is hard to match.”Dan Harris
