About the teacher

Zach Bush

Zach Bush, MD, is a triple board-certified physician in internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolism, and hospice/palliative care, whose clinical work led him to investigate the connections between industrial agriculture, soil depletion, glyphosate exposure and the rise of chronic disease.

He founded Farmer's Footprint, an initiative of the nonprofit Project Biome, which produced the documentary Regeneration: The Beginning and works to support the transition to regenerative farming. His teaching describes what he calls a "Biological Renaissance" — a shift from a mechanistic view of health toward one rooted in relationship: between soil microbiome, gut microbiome and the wider web of life.

Health emerges from relationship — between cells, microbes, and the world — not from any single part.
