About the teacher

Yaima

Yaima formed in Seattle in 2014 around Masaru Higasa, who plays and produces, and the singer Pepper Proud. Cascadian folktronic is their own name for the result.

Their records follow an elemental arc — Pellucidity for water, OvO for wind, Antidote for fire — alongside the Earth Trilogy. Ceremonia, from 2020, is entirely acoustic, and Moongate marked ten years in 2024.
