Recognized at 13 as the eighth incarnation of Tulku Nyentse, teaching Tummo, Tibetan Medicine, and Tantrayana practices through Nangten Menlang International.
Born in 1976 into a farming family in the Himalayas, Tulku Lobsang was enthroned at Sowa Monastery at age thirteen as the eighth incarnation of Tulku Nyentse, after the monastery's oracle identified him. He trained at Sowa Monastery from age six, Nangzhig Bön Monastery from age eleven, and later at Amchok and Labrang Monasteries, deepening his studies in Sutra, Medicine and Astrology. From 1993 he spent five years at Gaden Shartse Monastery in India, continuing his studies in Dharamsala from 1998.
His root teacher was Tulku Serchen, and he studied under 35 teachers in total, including Geshe Samten (philosophy), Geshe Jamyang Nyima (medicine and astrology) and Lama Gungtang (Tantric teachings). Since 2000 he has traveled internationally teaching Medicine, Buddhism and Astrology, with a particular focus on Tummo (inner fire practice, which he has practiced for over 25 years), Lu Jong (Tibetan Healing Yoga), Shiné meditation, and Tsa Lung, Dream Yoga and Sleep Yoga.
In 2002 he established a medical center in northern India; the resulting organization, Nangten Menlang International, is now headquartered in Vienna, Austria. He also founded the Inner Fire School and the Lu Jong organization, and has appeared on National Geographic's The Story of God with Morgan Freeman discussing Tummo practice.
