American Buddhist teacher trained and authorized by Pa Auk Sayadaw, known for teaching samatha/jhana concentration practice alongside insight and Dzogchen through her Luminous Mind Sangha.
Tina Rasmussen was personally trained by the Burmese meditation master Venerable Pa Auk Sayadaw and became the first Western woman authorized to teach in his lineage; she has also practiced Dzogchen for more than 25 years. She holds a doctorate, is the author of Practicing the Jhanas (Shambhala), a guide to samatha/concentration meditation, and has worked with students from over 50 countries since 2007.
She currently teaches through her Luminous Mind Sangha, leading multi-day residential retreats at Cloud Mountain Retreat Center in Castle Rock, Washington, alongside online daylongs, one-on-one mentoring and dharma talks.
