Teacher in the Bön tradition of Tibet, founder of Ligmincha Institute, known for bringing Bön meditation practices to Western audiences.
Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche trained in the Bön tradition, the pre-Buddhist spiritual tradition of Tibet that shares many practices and cosmological features with Tibetan Buddhism while maintaining its own distinct lineage. He founded Ligmincha Institute to make Bön meditation, including dream and sleep yoga and the Five Elements practices, available to Western students.
He keeps a full international 2026 schedule, including an online winter retreat, a summer retreat at Serenity Ridge with the 34th Menri Trizin, a seminar with Ligmincha Netherlands, and a new three-year Five Elements training programme beginning in April 2026.
