About the teacher

Swami Tattwamayananda

Swami Tattwamayananda is a senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order, trained from an early age in Hindu scriptures, Sanskrit, and Vedic and Vedantic literature. Before relocating to the United States in January 2012, he worked within centers of the Ramakrishna Order in India as an editor, publisher, and teacher of Sanskrit and Indian philosophy.

He now serves as Minister of the Vedanta Society of Northern California, the San Francisco society founded by Swami Vivekananda in 1900, teaching Vedantic philosophy and the wider Hindu spiritual tradition through Sunday lectures, classes, and public talks.
