About the teacher

Radhika Vekaria

Radhika Vekaria works as a vocalist, pianist, composer and producer, and sings in Sanskrit, in Dravidian languages and in English. Her music brings contemporary composition into contact with Vedic sound practice and with her own East African and Indian heritage.

She describes her performances as environments rather than shows, and builds them with the same care as the rooms that hold them — an approach that has taken her from meditation halls to the Clive Davis Theater at the Grammy Museum.

Her album Warriors of Light was nominated for a Grammy in 2025.

I do not make music for you to see me. I make it for you to see yourself.
