About the teacher

Phakchok Rinpoche

Phakchok Rinpoche was born in 1981 and carries two inheritances that in most lives would belong to two people. He teaches in the Nyingma lineage, in the treasure line of Chokgyur Lingpa, and he is the chief lineage holder of the Taklung Kagyu.

He is Vajra Master of Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling monastery in Kathmandu, abbot of several monasteries in Nepal, and supports practice centres in Tibet. He also directs the Chokgyur Lingpa Foundation, which runs humanitarian projects alongside the teaching.

His grandfather was Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, which places him in the same family as Chökyi Nyima, Tsoknyi and Mingyur Rinpoche.
