Nyingma · Kagyu · Chöd
American-born lama in the Kagyu lineage and founder of Tara Mandala, known for the Feeding Your Demons method rooted in Chöd practice.
Lama Tsultrim Allione was ordained within the Kagyu lineage and became known for developing Feeding Your Demons, a contemporary method adapted from the Tibetan Chöd practice of Machig Labdrön, in which difficult emotions and inner obstacles are worked with directly rather than suppressed. She founded Tara Mandala retreat centre in Colorado to teach this and related practices.
She leads retreats in Prague and Switzerland through 2026 focused on Chöd and Machig's Great Collection, an online Feeding Your Demons Level II course from September to November 2026, and a weekly 'Lama Live!' livestream.
“In this practice we feed our bodies to all sentient beings, to the buddhas and bodhisattvas, and also to our own hopes and fears, which take the form of demons.”Lama Tsultrim Allione
