About the teacher

Peter Russell

Peter Russell studied theoretical physics, experimental psychology and computer science at Cambridge University before going to India to study meditation, and has spent decades bridging science and contemplative practice; he has been named among the "100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People." His many books, including The Global Brain, From Science to God, Waking Up in Time, Letting Go of Nothing and How to Meditate Without Even Trying (foreword by Eckhart Tolle), address the science of consciousness, meditation and humanity's collective future.

Since the Covid pandemic he has scaled back live public speaking; he currently teaches primarily through his online "Mindfulness of Being" talks and courses, an online meditation course, occasional online pop-up talks, and a Q&A chatbot ("PeterBot"), with no confirmed in-person events found on his site.

Cosmic consciousness is just the normal state of consciousness.
