Mindfulness · Contemplative practice in business
Contemplative teacher and co-developer of Google's Search Inside Yourself programme, bringing secular mindfulness into corporate settings.
Mirabai Bush co-developed Search Inside Yourself, the mindfulness-based emotional-intelligence programme created at Google, helping translate contemplative practice into a corporate training context. She also co-authored Compassion in Action with Ram Dass, and serves as a Senior Fellow at the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society.
Now in her late eighties, her current teaching is limited to occasional online sessions and podcast appearances, including the Metta Hour with Sharon Salzberg and an online gathering with Nina Rao in May 2026; her memoir, Almost Home, appeared in 2025.
“"Because people really want to be loved, it turns out. It's hard to talk about it. It always edges on sounding like a Hallmark card, but I have found it to be very powerful if you can find the right way to do it." — Mirabai Bush, in "Mirabai Bush — Contemplation, Life, and Work," The On Being Project (interview with Krista Tippett).”Mirabai Bush
