Lior Elmaleh
Born in 1974 in Kiryat Shmona, Lior Elmaleh is a paytan who studied the bakkashot with Nissim Shoshan and was long a soloist of the Israeli Andalusian Orchestra. Piyyut is a liturgical tradition of its own, related to but distinct from Kabbalah.
