About the teacher

Justin Gold (J. Jaye Gold)

After decades of varied life experience, including work as a boxer, poker player, thoroughbred breeder and builder, Justin Gold, also known by his pen name J. Jaye Gold, has spent over 35 years guiding students in what he describes as a school "with no fixed form or structure, no set of rules to adhere to, no dogma or doctrine to believe in." He positions himself as a "suggestor" rather than an authoritarian teacher and offers his guidance without charging fees.

He currently lives among several dozen students in rural Northern California, where daily life forms part of the teaching. He is the author of several books, including Justin Time, and has no public event calendar; students engage with him through direct, personal relationships.

Could someone who miraculously found themselves on top of Everest show you how to climb to the top? Of course not. They wouldn't even know how they got there. I have climbed through all the problems, plans, and relationships that you face and have made it through to freedom, and if you have the intention, I can teach you how to do the same.
