About the teacher

Joey Weisenberg

Joey Weisenberg writes nigunim, the wordless melodies of Jewish devotional song, and leads prayer with them. His work is less about performance than about what happens in a room when everyone present is singing.

He founded the Rising Song Institute to teach exactly that: how a community finds its own voice rather than listening to someone else's.
