Sister Joan Chittister
Born in 1936, Joan Chittister is a Benedictine Sister of Erie and has spent over five decades writing and speaking on peace, human rights, women's issues, and contemplative Christian spirituality. She holds a doctorate in communications from Penn State University and serves as executive director of Benetvision, the Benedictine Sisters of Erie's publications ministry.
She is the author of more than 60 books, including The Monastery of the Heart, Radical Spirit, and The Time Is Now. No current public speaking schedule is listed on her website.
