About the teacher
Adam Bucko
Adam Bucko is an Episcopal priest connected to the Christian contemplative renewal and new monastic movements. Before his ordination he spent about fifteen years co-leading the Reciprocity Foundation, a nonprofit serving homeless and at-risk youth in New York City through spiritual-care programs. He has co-authored several books on contemplative practice, including Occupy Spirituality, The New Monasticism, and Let Your Heartbreak Be Your Guide, and is married to Buddhist teacher Kaira Jewel Lingo, with whom he co-leads an interfaith meditation community.
He currently directs the Center for Spiritual Imagination at the Episcopal Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City, New York, offering self-guided online courses in Lectio Divina, the Incarnation method of prayer, and new monastic practice, alongside a recurring "Center Down" contemplative gathering; check spiritualimagination.org/events for current dates before planning to attend.
