Haim Louk
Rabbi, cantor and living master of the Moroccan Jewish Andalusian liturgy, born in Casablanca in 1942 and a protégé of Rabbi David Bouzaglo. He sings piyyutim and the baqqashot, the night-long cycle of devotional poems that comes down from the kabbalistic school of Safed. He received the Israeli Minister of Culture Prize in 2011 and now serves in Los Angeles.
