About the teacher
Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee
Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee is his father's fully authorized successor and a sheikh in the Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi order. Born in London in 1979, he was formally trained from the age of fifteen in the Naqshbandiyya-Mujaddidiyya Sufi Order by his father, was given adhikara (permission to teach) in 2014, and became his father's authorized successor in 2018.
He is continuing his father's work, making this ancient tradition of Sufism available to seekers in the West. In his teaching, writing and filmmaking he also emphasizes the importance of an ecological consciousness at this time. He teaches and leads retreats on Sufism and spiritual ecology worldwide, and is founder and executive editor of Emergence Magazine.
