Camille Helminski

Camille Hamilton Adams Helminski has studied the Qur'an and the traditions of the Prophets for more than 40 years. With her husband Kabir Helminski, she co-founded the Threshold Society in 1988, an educational foundation rooted in the Mevlevi Sufi tradition.

She produced one of the first substantial English translations of the Qur'an by a woman, The Light of Dawn, and authored Women of Sufism: A Hidden Treasure, an anthology highlighting women's contributions to Islamic spirituality. She holds the title Shaikha within the Mevlevi tradition and co-leads the Threshold Society's monthly online Sunday meditation.
