About the teacher
Ajahn Jayasaro
Born Shaun Michael Chiverton on the Isle of Wight in 1958, Ajahn Jayasaro trained initially under Ajahn Sumedho at Oaken Holt, Oxford, before ordaining as a bhikkhu in Thailand in 1980 under Ajahn Chah at Wat Nong Pah Pong. He served as abbot of the international forest monastery Wat Pah Nanachat from 1997 to 2002, and in 2020 was granted Thai citizenship by royal decree.
He now lives at a hermitage near Khao Yai National Park, teaching through the Panyaprateep Foundation and offering Dhamma talks, essays, and books, including Stillness Flowing: The Life and Teachings of Ajahn Chah (2017).
