Jewish theology · radical amazement

Abraham Joshua Heschel

Polish-born American rabbi and one of the great Jewish theologians of the twentieth century (1907–1972). He taught Jewish mysticism and ethics at the Jewish Theological Seminary, wrote The Sabbath and God in Search of Man, and marched at Selma with Martin Luther King, holding that prayer and protest are the same obligation.
