About the teacher

Ringu Tulku Rinpoche

Ringu Tulku Rinpoche trained at Rumtek Monastery, seat of the Karmapas, and pursued academic Buddhist studies at the Namgyal Institute. In 1997 he founded Bodhicharya, a non-profit educational and cultural association dedicated to collecting, transcribing, translating and publishing Buddhist teachings, which now oversees meditation centers, hospice services and educational initiatives internationally.

He is associated with the Rimé (non-sectarian) movement, drawing on teachings across Tibetan Buddhist schools rather than a single lineage, and continues to teach and write from this integrative approach.
