Nicole Baden
Tatsudo Nicole Baden, Roshi, trained for more than two decades within Zen practice communities before receiving dharma transmission from Richard Baker Roshi in 2017 as his successor in the Sōtō lineage founded by Shunryu Suzuki. She became abbot of Dharma Sangha in September 2024, overseeing both the Crestone Mountain Zen Center in Colorado and the organization's center in the Black Forest, Germany.
Her background in psychology and body-based awareness training shapes a teaching style that brings somatic attention alongside traditional zazen practice.
