Greek singer of Byzantine church music, born on 5 August 1982, who has sung in church since childhood and holds a diploma in Byzantine music. She teaches at the Central Conservatory of Athens and sings the sacred repertoire in Greek, Romanian, Arabic, Russian and Aramaic among other languages.
Her work is devoted to bringing back the psaltria, the female cantor, in a tradition that has been almost exclusively male. She founded the Women in Byzantine Music Worldwide Association and the School for Psaltries, which offers Byzantine music education for female cantors with recognised degrees.
She has worked with Chronis Aidonidis and has given masterclasses at the Liszt Academy and the Sorbonne.
