Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche
Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche was recognized by the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa as the reincarnation of the great Dakini of Tshurphu, Khandro Orgyen Tsomo, connecting her to both the Nyingma and Kagyu lineages. She is the eldest daughter of Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen Gyurme Künzang Wangyal, 11th throne holder of the Mindrolling lineage, and belongs to the Jetsünma line of female masters within it.
From childhood she received teachings from Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Trulshig Rinpoche, Tulku Ugyen Rinpoche and Tenga Rinpoche, among others. She founded the Samten Tse Retreat Centre in India in 1993 and the Lotus Garden Retreat Centre in Virginia in 2003, and has taught across Europe, North America and Asia for over two decades.
