Master Ketut Arsana
Master Ketut Arsana was born in the village of Padang Tegal, Ubud, into a family lineage of traditional Balinese healers (balian). He studied Religious Studies at the Denpasar State Hindu Dharma Institute, graduating at the top of his class, and was already teaching yoga weekly on Balinese television by the age of seventeen, years before Ubud became known internationally as a yoga destination. In 1987 he founded the Ubud Bodyworks Centre, later followed by Ashram Munivara and Om Ham Retreat & Resort, both on the same grounds north of Ubud. He is the originator of Kundalini Tantra Yoga, a method he describes as combining the tantric art of Balinese living with dynamic, continuous breathing, under the guiding phrase "All life is yoga."
Master Ketut Arsana personally teaches a weekly Saturday Kundalini Tantra Yoga session at Om Ham Retreat, alongside the retreat's Master Series programmes, including multi-day self-awakening and purification retreats and the recurring half-day "Laugh, Share, Care" gathering. He has also led a 200-hour Kundalini Tantra Yoga teacher training at Ubud Bodyworks Centre, which the school states is not accredited by Yoga Alliance. Ashram Munivara, on the same grounds, follows a broader devotional calendar of Balinese Hindu ceremonies, including Kliwon puja every five days and full and new moon puja, open to visitors on a donation basis.
