About the teacher

Karen Johnson

Karen Johnson has worked alongside A.H. Almaas since 1976 to develop and guide the Diamond Approach, a contemporary inner-work path that combines psychological inquiry, Western philosophy and elements of Sufi, Buddhist and other contemplative traditions into a structured curriculum taught through the Ridhwan School. Her book The Jeweled Path: The Biography of the Diamond Approach to Inner Realization recounts the personal experiences behind the teaching's development.

She continues to teach within Ridhwan School programs and has appeared in public talks about The Jeweled Path, including a book conversation with Science and Nonduality (SAND).
