Retired American clinical psychologist and nondual inquiry facilitator known for the "Irreverent Mind" site and Mind-Tickler newsletter applying practical, secular nonduality to everyday emotional struggles.
Judy Cohen trained as a clinical psychologist and later became a certified facilitator and trainer of Byron Katie's The Work and of Scott Kiloby's Living Inquiries, drawing on her own history with depression, anxiety and suicidal despair to shape a direct, irreverent teaching style free of spiritual bypassing.
Her site, Irreverent Mind, formerly offered online classes and small groups on topics such as depression, anxiety, procrastination and people-pleasing. As of 2026 she is retired; the site is now an archive of her Mind-Tickler posts and no longer updated.
“I regularly fail at people's desire for me to be a sweet Buddha-lady at all times.”Judy Cohen
