About the teacher

Ingrid Honkala

Honkala trained as a marine scientist in biological oceanography and worked as a NASA oceanographer before her own near-death experience redirected her toward writing and teaching; her books, including A Brightly Guided Life, and her podcast In Dying I Began to Live, draw on that experience to explore themes of inner light, guidance and life after loss, without tying her message to a single religious tradition.

She teaches internationally in English and Spanish through one-on-one coaching, a monthly mentoring program, and a busy schedule of talks, workshops and retreats, including stops in England, Spain and, in 2027, Colombia, alongside guest teaching roles in master's programs on end-of-life care and grief support at Barcelona University.
