About the teacher

Gaura Vani

Gaura Vani was raised from early childhood in temple communities in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, later co-founding the group As Kindred Spirits, whose music blends kirtan with elements of gospel, rock and hip-hop. His recordings and performances have taken him to venues ranging from yoga studios and temples to major festivals.

He continues to teach and perform, including through community gatherings and mentorship of younger kirtan artists, though a recent health setback has led to some performances being postponed; his current touring schedule should be confirmed directly.

Kirtan is just the process of using chant and music to clean the heart. It's like an ancient can of Scrubbing Bubbles to clean our hearts and help figure out who we are beyond the body.
