Belgian-born satsang teacher and longtime companion of Papaji (H.W.L. Poonja), giving satsang worldwide since 1998 and now based in Portugal's Algarve.
Born Geneviève De Coux in Namur, Belgium, in 1947, Ganga Mira left her art history studies in Brussels at eighteen to travel to India. In late 1968 she met H.W.L. Poonja (Papaji), a disciple of Ramana Maharshi, in Rishikesh; she became his companion and travelled with him for nearly three decades until his death in 1997. She later took the name Ganga after the river where she meditated with her master.
Since 1998 she has given satsang around the world, and since 2004 she has been based in Portugal's Algarve, where she now offers satsang roughly twice a week alongside periodic travel elsewhere in Europe.
“Who you really are is here, just now regardless of the states of your mind. You are ever your Self.”Ganga Mira
