About the teacher

Dave Stringer

Dave Stringer performs what he describes as high-energy ecstatic yoga music, built around kirtan and devotional chant. His album Mantra Americana, made with Madi Das and Bhakti Without Borders, received a Grammy nomination; his other recordings include Mantra Americana II (2023), Udaya Sessions (2017), and Elixir: Songs from the Radiance Sutras (2015).

Beyond touring, retreats, and workshops, he leads a program called Kirtan Flight School, hosts the Blessfest gathering, and has been involved in neuroscience research into the effects of mantra and kirtan practice.
