William K. Mahony is a Professor of Religion at Davidson College and author of The Artful Universe: An Introduction to the Vedic Religious Imagination (1997), a study combining philological and literary-critical approaches to Vedic texts. He served as an editor and contributor to the sixteen-volume Encyclopedia of Religion.
Alongside his academic scholarship, Mahony teaches Vedic and non-dual tantra philosophy to students and practitioners seeking to understand the philosophical foundations underlying yoga and tantra practice.
