Nepalese Buddhist nun of Tibetan origin from the Nagi Gompa nunnery, who brought Tibetan Buddhist chants and feast songs to audiences far outside the monastery.
Ani Choying Drolma is a Buddhist nun from the Nagi Gompa nunnery above Kathmandu, of Tibetan family, who has spent decades bringing Tibetan Buddhist chanting and feast songs to audiences who would otherwise never hear them. She has released sixteen albums and toured widely in America and Europe.
Alongside the singing she has put her work behind the education and standing of nuns in Nepal, and she has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador there since 2014. Her autobiography, Phoolko Aankhama, appeared in 2008.
