About this film

Meditative inquiry · Springwater Center

Toni Packer

German-American teacher of what she called meditative inquiry (1927–2013), born in Berlin. She trained in Zen and was in line to succeed Philip Kapleau at the Rochester Zen Center, then stepped away from the forms, the titles and the lineage altogether and founded Springwater Center, where she taught looking directly at experience without any religious frame around it.
