About the teacher

Warsi Brothers

The Warsi Brothers are Nazeer Ahmed Khan Warsi and Naseer Ahmed Khan Warsi, who sing as the qawwals of a group based in Hyderabad. Behind the two voices stands the humnawa, the party of eight accompanists that qawwali is built on: the chorus, the hand clapping, the harmonium and the tabla.

They sing in the classical qawwali form rather than the concert arrangements the music has often taken on abroad.
