About the teacher

Tara Springett

Tara Springett holds an M.A. in Education alongside postgraduate training in gestalt, body-awareness and transpersonal therapy. Her main teacher is Garchen Rinpoche, a Drikung Kagyu lineage holder who in 2002 encouraged her to become a Buddhist therapist and teacher and later endorsed her book Higher-Consciousness Healing; her earlier training was endorsed by Rigdzin Shikpo in 1997.

Based in the Exeter area of England, she has since around 2010 specialized in supporting people with kundalini syndrome and spiritual-awakening symptoms, having worked with over 2,000 clients. She currently offers online courses (including via Udemy), one-on-one spiritual counselling, and guided meditations; she does not maintain a separate public events calendar.

The best way of thinking about Kundalini awakening is as a consciousness expansion.
