About the teacher
Regina Dawn Akers
Regina Dawn Akers has documented her teaching path since 2005, and Awakening Together presents her materials as tracing the steps from an early spiritual seeker toward realization. She has authored multiple works, including a scribed interpretation of the New Testament, an interpretive translation of the Tao Te Ching, and the "Gentle Healing, Gentle Awakening" curriculum built on the ACIM Workbook for Students.
She has now retired from teaching. Her final series, Clarifying the Teachings, closes a body of work that remains archived and freely available, and Awakening Together continues to run her curricula, weekly online gatherings and retreats without her. She still reads and answers messages through her Facebook page.
Her teachings are archived at Awakening Together, and two playlists gather the material she points people to first: the Early Teachings, of particular interest to students of A Course in Miracles, and Clarifying the Teachings, her last series. She is reachable at her Facebook page.
Her books: The Holy Spirit's Interpretation of the New Testament, the scribed work she is best known for, in paperback, ebook and audio; Thoughts of Awakening: 365 Thoughts for Contemplation; Gentle Healing, Gentle Awakening, a daily commentary on the ACIM workbook lessons, also split into paperback Volume One and Volume Two; and Tao Te Ching: An Interpretive Translation to Live By, translated by her directly from the Chinese.
Her first novel, Claire of the Shifting Winds, is published on 30 November 2026. It is historical fiction: a woman raised by a priest travels to the western frontier to convert the Comanche to Catholicism, converts no one, and wakes to a truth beyond all religions.
