Kogen Czarnik

Kogen Czarnik ordained as a monk at Bukkoku-ji in Japan, where Tangen Harada Roshi was his root teacher. He spent more than a dozen years in monastic practice across Japan and Korea and around four years in silent retreat, and also studied with Jakusho Kwong Roshi, Shodo Harada Roshi and Wu Bong Sunim, and later with Adyashanti and Angelo Dilullo.

He describes three turning points, at twenty-three, thirty and thirty-seven, each opening a further layer of freedom from ego-bound perception. Now in his forties, he works outside the traditional institutional structures while keeping Zen's essential teaching intact, supporting people one to one through See Your Nature.
